ഒമാനിലെ രണ്ട് ദിവസത്തെ സന്ദർശനത്തിനായി പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി ഇന്നലെ വൈകിട്ട് മസ്‌കറ്റിൽ എത്തി

ത്രിരാഷ്ട്ര പര്യടനത്തിൻ്റെ അവസാന ഘട്ടത്തിൽ ഒമാനിലെ രണ്ട് ദിവസത്തെ സന്ദർശനത്തിനായി പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി ഇന്നലെ വൈകിട്ട് മസ്‌കറ്റിൽ എത്തി. ജോർദാനിലെയും എത്യോപ്യയിലെയും വിജയകരമായ സന്ദർശനങ്ങൾ പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയ ശേഷമാണ് അദ്ദേഹം ഒമാനിൽ എത്തിയത്. മസ്‌കറ്റ് വിമാനത്താവളത്തിൽ മോദിയെ ഒമാൻ പ്രതിരോധ ഉപപ്രധാനമന്ത്രി സയ്യിദ് ഷിഹാബ് ബിൻ താരിഖ് അൽ സെയ്ദ് സ്വീകരിച്ചു. വിവിധ മേഖലകളിൽ ഇന്ത്യ-ഒമാൻ സഹകരണം ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനെക്കുറിച്ചും തന്ത്രപരമായ പങ്കാളിത്തം മുന്നോട്ട് കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നതിനെക്കുറിച്ചും അവർ ചർച്ച നടത്തി.

ഒമാൻ സുൽത്താനേറ്റ് രാഷ്ട്രത്തലവൻ സുൽത്താൻ ഹൈതം ബിൻ താരിക്കിൻ്റെ ക്ഷണപ്രകാരമാണ് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി സൗഹൃദ രാജ്യം സന്ദർശിക്കുന്നത്. ഒമാൻ സുൽത്താനുമായി മോദി ഇന്ന് ചർച്ച നടത്തും. സ്വതന്ത്ര വ്യാപാര കരാറായ സമഗ്ര സാമ്പത്തിക പങ്കാളിത്ത കരാറിൽ (സിഇപിഎ) ഇന്ത്യയും ഒമാനും ഒപ്പുവെക്കും. ഒമാൻ സുൽത്താൻ്റെയും പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി മോദിയുടെയും സാന്നിധ്യത്തിൽ കേന്ദ്ര വാണിജ്യ-വ്യവസായ മന്ത്രി പിയൂഷ് ഗോയലും അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻ്റെ ഒമാൻ സഹമന്ത്രിയും വാണിജ്യ, വ്യവസായ, നിക്ഷേപ പ്രോത്സാഹന മന്ത്രി ക്വിസ് അൽ യൂസഫും ഒപ്പുവെക്കും.

മസ്‌കറ്റിലെ ഹോട്ടലിൽ എത്തിയ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിക്ക് ഒമാനി പരമ്പരാഗത നൃത്തം, കുച്ചിപ്പുടി, കഥക് എന്നിവയുടെ മിശ്രിതം, രാജസ്ഥാനിലെ ഘൂമർ, കർണാടകയുടെ നാടോടി നൃത്തം, യക്ഷണം തുടങ്ങിയ വിവിധ നൃത്തങ്ങൾ അവതരിപ്പിച്ച കുട്ടികളുൾപ്പെടെ ഇന്ത്യയിലെ പ്രവാസി അംഗങ്ങൾ ഊഷ്മളമായ സ്വീകരണം നൽകി. ഇന്ത്യൻ കമ്മ്യൂണിറ്റിയിലെ ആബാലവൃദ്ധം ജനങ്ങൾ 'ഭാരത് മാതാ കീ ജയ്', 'വന്ദേമാതരം' എന്നിങ്ങനെ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി മോദിയെ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിച്ചു.

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Muscat yesterday evening on a two-day visit to Oman in the last leg of his three-nation tour. He reached Oman after completing his successful visits to Jordan and Ethiopia. At the Muscat airport, Mr Modi was received by Oman’s Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said. They had discussions on strengthening India-Oman cooperation in various fields and advancing the strategic partnership.

 The Prime Minister is visiting the friendly nation on the invitation of the Head of State of the Sultanate of Oman, Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. Mr Modi will hold talks with the Sultan of Oman today. India and Oman will sign a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), a Free Trade Agreement. It will be signed by Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal and his Oman counterpart, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Qais Al Yousef, in the presence of the Sultan of Oman and Prime Minister Modi.

 In a social media post, Mr Modi said, Oman is a land of enduring friendship and deep historical connections with India. He said this visit offers an opportunity to explore new avenues of collaboration and add fresh momentum to the partnership between the two countries.

 After reaching the hotel in Muscat, the Prime Minister was accorded a warm welcome by the members of India diaspora, including children who presented various dances, like Omani Traditional Dance, Blend of Indian classical – Kuchipudi and Kathak, Rajasthan’s Ghoomer, Karnataka’s Folk Dance – Yakshana and others. The members of the Indian community, both young and old, cheered Prime Minister Modi with ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai and ‘Vande Mataram’.

During his two-day visit, besides meeting the Sultan of Oman at his palace, the Prime Minister will address business leaders from both countries at a business forum. He will also be interacting with students and members of the Indian community. Interestingly, many Indian students in Oman also listen to the Prime Minister’s ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ to de-stress themselves.

This visit is of great significance as it will further deepen ties with a longstanding and historical partner, especially in the year when India and Oman are celebrating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations.
